Teddy MUNY Tries to Help Haiti
By: Bavo Stevens
It has been more than twelve days since a 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck Port-au-Prince, leaving most of the city in ruins and resulting in more than 150 000 confirmed dead. The destruction has inspired Linda Dubbock, Chair of the board of the THIMUN Foundation, to raise money for Haiti, honoring Her Royal Highness, Princess Mabel von Oranje-Nassau, with the choice of charity in Haiti. Ms. Dubbock has organized a raffle in which one person will be able to win the teddy bear Teddy MUN. At the moment, 100 Euros has already been raised, and the THIMUN Foundation hopes that every conference attendant will buy a raffle ticket. Raffle tickets are being sold for 50 cents at the Merchandise Stand. At 50 cents or more, even you can help make a difference in Haiti.
